Although this is no Macbook, others have described Asus Zenbook UX305 as a mid-range laptop. But it's the favourite of some laptop users right now.

You think that it's got quite a bit in common with Macbooks and the stuff they're made of. It's got high-resolution screens, Core M processors without fans, which I know some of us would love, and there's a special focus on thinness.
